Shepherd Women’s Soccer Falls to Bloomsburg

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Lauren Bull scored a goal and assisted on another to lead Bloomsburg (10-3-0, 8-3-0 PSAC East) to a 3-0 win over Shepherd University (4-5-4, 3-5-3 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at Bloomsburg on Saturday afternoon. 

Bloomsburg took a 1-0 lead on an unassisted goal by Bull at the 4:26 mark. 

Nicole Varano scored on a feed from Bull at the 20:13 mark to up the lead to 2-0. 

Chloe Carns scored on a pass from Aubrey Hondros at the 33:40 mark for the final tally. 

Bloomsburg had a 25-5 advantage in shots with a 13-2 edge in shots on goal. The Huskies had an 11-0 advantage in corner kicks. 

Sophomore Alayna Burgamy (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson/Pitt-Johnstown) recorded 10 saves in goal for the Rams. Riley Spingler posted two saves for the Huskies. 

The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Shippensburg for a 4 p.m. match.
