SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Jake Biss scored a game-high 28 points and Rashon Johnson added 27 to lead Shippensburg (18-8, 14-6 PSAC) to a 79-65 win over Shepherd University (12-15, 8-13 PSAC) in PSAC men's basketball action at the Butcher Center on Wednesday night
Senior forward Kyle Daggett (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville) scored 17 points to lead four Rams in double figures.
Freshman guard Aidan Hughley (York, Pa./York Suburban) added 14 points, freshman guard Jarod Robinson (Laurel, Md./Glenelg Country School) added 12, while sophomore guard Phillip Jordan (Rockville, Md./St. Albans) tossed in 11.
Junior guard Jon Preston (Brandywine, Md./Rock Creek Christian) grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
Shippensburg had a 38-24 lead at the half.
Carlos Carter added 12 points the Raiders. Dom Sleva contributed 10 points and a game-high 15 rebounds.
Shepherd connected on 43.1 percent (25-58) from the floor with a 20.8 percent (5-24) performance from beyond the arc for the game. The Rams hit 62.5 percent (10-16) of their free throws.
Shippensburg shot 53.8 percent (28-52) from the floor with a 40 percent effort (10-25) from three-point range. The Raiders shot 76.5 percent (13-17) from the foul line.
Shippensburg had a 34-28 rebounding edge. Shepherd forced seven turnovers and committed four.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Mansfield for a 3 p.m. game..
