JACKSON SPRING, N.C. – The Shepherd University men's golf team shot a two-day total of 652 to rank 15th in a 19-team field this weekend at the Brown Golf Intercollegiate. Wayne State (MI) won the team honors with a 581. Josh DiCarlo of Wayne State (MI) took medalist honors with a 143. Sophomore Amanda Deener (Middletown, Md./Frederick Christian Academy Homeschool Umbrella Program) and sophomore Ciara Scafide (Knoxville, Md./Brunswick) competed for the Rams in the women's competition. Ferris State won team honors with a 640. Alayna Eldred of Ferris State took medalist accolades with a 151.
Senior Tyler Potts (Owings, Md./Northern/College of Southern Maryland) fired a two-round total of 155 to tie for 45th place to lead the Rams. He was followed by junior Tyler Hardy (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) (158, T-56th), senior Mason Kidwell (Charles Town, W.Va.) (165, T-91st), and freshman Koke Dolce (Spicewood, Texas/St. Michael's Catholic Academy) (173, T-108th),
Deener fired a 181 to tie for 42nd place to pace the women. She was followed by sophomore Ciara Scafide (Knoxville, Md./Brunswick) (220, 61st).
