KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Shepherd University tennis teams split with Kutztown in PSAC East women's tennis action at Kutztown on Friday. The men (5-7, 0-4 PSAC) dropped a 5-2 decision, while the women (7-6, 3-1 PSAC East) posted a 4-3 triumph. 

The women's team got singles wins from junior Ally Frushour (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown), junior Morgan Burner (Winchester, Va./James Wood), sophomore Johnna Smith (Buckhannon, W.Va./Buckhannon-Upshur). Frushour teamed with junior Isabella Mascari (Morgantown, W.Va/Morgantown) for a 6-1 win at number one doubles, and Smith and Burner posted a 6-2 win at number two doubles. 

Freshman Sebastian Sevilla (Ambato, Ecuador/Unidad Educativa Atenas) and sophomore Yuto Shimotsuji (Osaka, Japan/Naniwa/Campbellsville) each recorded singles wins for the men. 

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Bloomsburg for an 11 a.m. match.
