Shepherd Women’s Lacrosse Falls at #6 East Stroudsburg

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Shepherd University (4-10, 2-8 PSAC East) dropped a 16-3 decision to sixth-ranked West Chester (13-1, 9-1 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's lacrosse action at East Stroudsburg on Saturday. 

Emily Mitaratondo scored four goals and added five draw controls to lead the Warriors. 

Graduate student attacker Sidney Kelly (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown) recorded a hat trick for the Rams. Senior attacker Katherine Campbell (Montgomery Village, Md./Watkins Mill) assisted on all three goals. 

Kiki Fitzpatrick, Sophia Graffeo, Madison Bagatta, McKenna Conklin, and Maddie Heck added a pair of goals for East Stroudsburg. 

East Stroudsburg had an 11-1 lead at halftime.  

Senior goalkeeper Hailey Bennett (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) (9) and sophomore goalkeeper Ellie Glawe (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore) (1) combined for 10 saves for the Rams. McKenna Gaghan (7) and Bella Gismondi (1) teamed to record eight saves for East Stroudsburg. 

East Stroudsburg had a 33-16 edge in shots with a 26-11 advantage in shots on goal. Shepherd was 16-of-19 in clears while East Stroudsburg was 18-of-20. The Warriors had a 14-8 edge in draw controls and a 27-24 advantage in ground balls. 

The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host Millersville for a 4 p.m. contest.
