Shepherd Women’s Soccer Falls at #13 Kutztown

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Shepherd University (1-0-1, 0-0-0 PSAC East) dropped a 3-0 decision to #13 Kutztown (2-0-0, 1-0-0 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at Kutztown on Wednesday night. 

Kayla Argen scored on a penalty kick at the 34.16 mark and Emma Fugel added an unassisted tally at the 44:10 mark to give the Golden Bears a 2-0 lead at the break. 

Caroline McDonald scored at the 50:53 mark for Kutztown to complete the scoring. 

Kutztown had a 10-8 advantage in shots with a 4-2 edge in shots on goal. Kutztown had an 8-3 edge in corner kicks. 

Junior goalkeeper Faith Leisinger (Keedysville, Md./Boonsboro) recorded one save for the Rams. Emme Wolfel posted a pair of saves for the Golden Bears. 

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Millersville for a 4 p.m. match.
