SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shepherd University (8-5, 0-1 PSAC East) dropped a 3-1 decision to Shippensburg (7-7, 1-0 PSAC East) in PSAC East volleyball action at Shippensburg on Friday night. The Raiders earned a 25-14, 21-25, 25-10, 27-25 victory. 

Senior outside hitter Mikaylah Hoy (Sharpsburg, Md./Heritage Academy) had 13 kills and 13 digs to lead the Rams. She also added four blocks. Sophomore middle blocker Joi Fairweather (Tamarac, Fla./Calvary Christian Academy) added nine kills. 

Junior setter Victoria Nicholes (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin) contributed 32 assists and nine digs, while freshman libero/defensive specialist Gracie Fulton (Staunton, Va./Riverheads)  recorded 19 digs. Sophomore middle hitter Renee Killough (Bloomery, W.Va./Hampshire)paced the Rams with five blocks. 

Kat Negron had 16 kills and Maddie Clabaugh added 15 to lead the Raiders. Kearstan Davis added 45 assists and 16 digs. 

The Rams return to action on Friday when they host East Stroudsburg at 7 p.m.
