BELLE VERNON, Pa. – The Shepherd University men's golf team shot a two-day total of 566 to finish in a tie for fourth in an 18-team field at the Vulcan Invitational at the Cedarbrook Golf Course. Gannon shot a 545 to take the team title. Abe Holmes and Ryan Ferry each carded a 132 to lead the Golden Knights.
Freshman Morgan Dehoff (Rohrersville, Md./Boonsboro) led the Rams with a two-day total of 138 to tie for 10th place. He was followed by freshman Nop Satjavitvisarn (Yannawa Bangkok, Thailand/International Community School) (140, T-25th), senior Chris Neighbors (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) (141, T-25th), freshman Trey Rios (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) (151, T-83rd), senior Mason Kidwell (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) (153, T-92nd), and freshman Luke Davis (Clear Brook, Va./James Wood) (162, T-114th).
The Rams return to action on Sept. 16 when they travel to the Mercyhurst Invitational.
