SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. Shepherd University (2-2-1, 1-2-0 PSAC East) dropped a 3-0 decision to #25 Bloomsburg (4-1-0, 2-1-0 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at Shepherd on Wednesday.
Bloomsburg took a 1-0 lead at the 1:53 mark on an unassisted tally by Amanda Stoll.
The Huskies took a 2-0 lead into the break as Nicole Varano scored on a cross from Campbell Power at the 21:55 mark.
Bloomsburg added a second-half tally as Lauren Bull scored on a feed from Paige Harris at the 56:47 mark.
Bloomsburg had a 19-9 advantage in shots with a 9-4 edge in shots on goal. The Huskies had a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Junior goalkeeper Faith Leisinger (Keedysville, Md./Boonsboro) recorded six saves for the Rams. Riley Spingler (76:23, 3 saves) and Alexa Ryan (13:37, 1 save) combined to post four saves for the Huskies.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to East Stroudsburg for a 1:30 p.m. match.
