KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Caroline McDonald scored a pair of goals and assisted on another to lead seventh-ranked Kutztown (11-0-4, 10-0-3 PSAC East) to a 3-0 win over Shepherd University (4-5-5, 2-5-5 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at Kutztown on Saturday.
McDonald had a pair of first half goals and assisted on a second-half tally by Isabella Rossetti.
Junior goalkeeper Alayna Burgamy (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson/Pitt-Johnstown) recorded six saves for the Rams. Cassandra Baker (72:25, two saves) and Emme Wolfel (17:35, two saves) combined for four saves for the Golden Bears.
Kutztown had a 14-10 edge in shots with a 9-4 advantage in shots on goal. The Golden Bears had a 7-1 edge in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host Mansfield for a 1 p.m. contest.
