SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (2-10-3,1-8-2 PSAC East) and Shippensburg (4-7-3, 1-7-2 PSAC East) battled to a 1-1 tie on Senior Day in PSAC East men's soccer action at Shepherd on Wednesday.
Shippensburg took a 1-0 lead when Avery Warrick scored on an assist from Victor Tittoro at the 57:53 mark.
Shepherd tied the game when junior forward Andrew West (Annandale, Va./Carlisle (Pa.)) found the back of the net on a pass from sophomore forward Sterling Harris (Cheltenham, Md./Bishop McNamara) at the 78:30 mark.
Senior goalkeeper Christian Blazes (Hagerstown, Md./Heritage Academy) posted five saves for the Rams. Cody Willoughby recorded four saves for Shippensburg.
Shots were even at 14-14, while Shippensburg had a 6-5 edge in shots on goal. The Raiders had a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Monday when they resume a suspended game with Pitt-Johnstown at home at 3 p.m. The Mountain Cats hold a 1-0 lead after one half of play.
