MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Shepherd University (10-13, 5-4 PSAC East) dropped a 3-2 decision to Millersville (9-13, 3-6 PSAC East) in PSAC East volleyball action at Millersville on Friday night. The Marauders gained a 17-25, 25-21, 25-18, 20-25, 19-17 win.
Freshman outside hitter Amya Davis (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) led the Rams with 15 kills. Freshman outside hitter Jordan Pryor (Middletown, Md./Middletown) and junior middle hitter Renee Killough (Bloomery, W.Va./Hampshire) each added 11. Killough also posted four blocks.
Senior setter Victoria Nicholes (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin) contributed 38 assists, 12 digs, and a pair of aces. Senior libero Claire Ellis (Louisa, Va./Saint Catherine's School) recorded a match-high 20 digs, six assists, and an ace.
Emma Kirwin had 17 kills and Alex Nava added 16 to pace the Marauders. Emma Ludwig added 39 assists, 12 digs, and seven kills.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to West Chester for a 1 p.m. match.
