WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Shepherd University (11-13, 6-4 PSAC East) downed West Chester (9-13, 2-8 PSAC East) in four sets in PSAC East volleyball action at West Chester on Saturday. The Rams gained a 25-19, 25-10, 20-25, 25-18 victory.
Freshman outside hitter Jordan Pryor (Middletown, Md./Middletown) recorded a double-double with 13 kills and 13 digs to lead the Rams.
Freshman outside hitter Amya Davis (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson), junior middle blocker/right side Joi Fairweather (Tamarac, Fla./Calvary Christian Academy), freshman middle hitter/right side Sophia Ryan (Monroe, NY/Monroe Woodbury), and junior middle hitter Renee Killough (Bloomery, W.Va./Hampshire) each added nine kills. Davis added five aces, while Ryan posted six blocks.
Senior setter Victoria Nicholes (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin) contributed 41 assists and nine digs. Senior libero Claire Ellis (Louisa, Va./Saint Catherine's School) had 15 digs, five aces, and four assists.
Lexy Caltabiano had 11 kills and Sydney Heffner added a match-high 19 digs to lead the Golden Rams.
The Rams return to action on Friday when they travel to Bloomsburg for a 6 p.m. match.
