LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Sophomore midfielder Adrianna Morales (Holmdel, N.J./Holmdel) and sophomore forward Lydia Gable (Felton, Pa./Kennard Dale) each scored a goal and assisted on another to lead Shepherd University (6-5-5, 4-5-5 PSAC East) to a 3-1 win over Lock Haven (4-11-1, 3-10-1 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at Lock Haven on Saturday night.
Shepherd took a 1-0 lead as Morales scored on a pass from Gable at the 5:05 mark.
Gable scored on a feed from Morales at the 21:24 mark to give the Rams a 2-0 advantage at the break.
Jocey Francis scored on a feed from Eva Stoessel at the 60:04 mark to cut the lead to 2-1.
Sophomore midfielder Josie Beezel (Woodsboro, Md./Linganore) scored on a pass from graduate student forward/midfielder Sara Hohn (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson) at the 69:25 mark to complete the scoring.
Junior goalkeeper Alayna Burgamy (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson/Pitt-Johnstown) (26:59, 0 GA, 0 saves) and freshman goalkeeper Anna Cristofano (Round Hill, Va./Woodgrove) (63:01, 1 GA, 2 saves) teamed up to past two saves for the Rams. Megan Miller recorded three saves for the Bald Eagles.
Lock Haven had a 15-12 edge in shots with Shepherd holding a 6-3 advantage in shots on goal. The Rams also held a 6-3 edge in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Shippensburg for a 3:30 p.m. contest.
