SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (2-6-2, 1-4-1 PSAC East) dropped a 3-0 decision to Millersville (6-2-3, 3-1-2 PSAC East) in PSAC East men's soccer action at Shepherd on Saturday.
Millersville took a 1-0 lead into the break as Roy Parkyn scored on an assist from Bob Hennessey at the 16:44 mark.
The Marauders added a pair of second-half tallies.
Richy Valverde scored on an assist from Josh Rodriguez at the 52:23 mark and Rodriguez scored on a feed from Parkyn at the 57:49 mark.
Shepherd tied the game when sophomore forward Sterling Harris (Cheltenham, Md./Bishop McNamara) scored at the 72:47 mark on a pass from senior defender/midfielder Conner Brown (Martinsburg, W.Va./St. Maria Goretti/Averett).
Senior goalkeeper Christian Blazes (Hagerstown, Md./Heritage Academy) recorded four saves for the Rams. Travis Holiday posted two saves for Millersville.
Millersville had a 16-5 advantage in shots and a 7-2 edge in shots on goal. The Marauders had a 7-6 advantage in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host West Chester at 1 p.m.
