BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Shepherd University (3-4-4, 1-4-4 PSAC East) dropped a 3-1 decision to Bloomsburg (4-4-3, 4-3-2 PSAC East) in PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at Bloomsburg on Saturday.
The Huskies took a 1-0 lead into the break as Lauren Bull scored on a pass from Laci Bell at the 9:00 mark
Bloomsburg added a pair of second half goals to take a 3-0 lead.
Amanda Stoll scored on assist by Bull and Brooke Foster at the 64:36 mark, and Olivia Thompson added an unassisted goal at the 76:02 mark.
Shepherd got on the scoreboard when freshman midfielder Taylor Schuck (Springfield, Va./West Springfield) scored on an assist from junior forward/defender Sofia Carrera (New Market, Md./Oakdale) at the 86:06 mark.
Junior goalkeeper Alayna Burgamy (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson/Pitt-Johnstown) recorded five saves for the Rams. Riley Spingler had three saves for the Huskies.
Bloomsburg had a 13-12 edge in shots with an 8-4 advantage in shots on goal. Bloomsburg had a 13-4 edge in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host East Stroudsburg at 1 p.m.
