ERIE, Pa. – The Shepherd University men's golf team shot a two-round total of 630 to finish in eighth place in an 11-team field at the Bud Elwell Fall Classic at the Whispering Woods Golf Club on Monday. Gannon took the team title with a 588. The Shepherd women's team had three competitors at the Michael Corbett Fall Classic at Whispering Woods. The events were hosted by Gannon University. 

The men were led by sophomore Dylan Byers (Waynesboro, Pa./Waynesboro)  who shot a 152 (78-74) to finish tied for 14th place. He was followed by sophomore Morgan Dehoff (Rohrersville, Md./Boonsboro) (154, T-17th), sophomore Nop Satijavitisarn (Yannawa Bangkok, Thailand/International Community School) (159, T-31st), senior Chris Neighbors (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington( (160, T-36th), sophomore Trey Rios (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) (161, T-39th), and freshman Jimmy Goldsborough (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) (166, T-46th),  

Sophomore Sara Veara (Berkeley Springs, W.Va./Berkeley Springs) shot a 160 to finish in eighth place to lead the women. She was followed by senior Olivia Rosick (Purcellville, Va./Woodgrove) (184, 43rd) and sophomore Ryley Bolyard (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville/Meredith College) (248, 61st). 

The men return to action on Oct. 27 for the PSAC Championship in Lebanon, Pa., while the women wrap up their fall competition.
