LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Shepherd University (13-13, 8-4 PSAC East) swept Lock Haven (10-11, 4-8 PSAC East) in PSAC East volleyball action at Lock Haven on Saturday. The Rams recorded a 25-21, 25-13, 25-23 win.
Junior middle blocker/right side Joi Fairweather (Tamarac, Fla./Calvary Christian Academy) had 13 kills and six digs, while freshman outside hitter Jordan Pryor (Middletown, Md./Middletown) had eight kills and eight digs to pace the Rams.
Junior middle hitter Renee Killough (Bloomery, W.Va./Hampshire) had five kills and five blocks, while freshman outside hitter Amya Davis (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) recorded six kills. Senior setter Victoria Nicholes (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin) posted 25 assists and seven digs. Senior libero Claire Ellis (Louisa, Va./Saint Catherine's School) added seven digs and three aces.
Reagan Irons had nine kills and Sabrina Valentin added eight to lead the Bald Eagles. Kelly Gaston added 23 assists and five digs.
The Rams return to action on Friday when they host Kutztown for a 7 p.m. match.
