SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Emily McAteer had 16 points and nine rebounds to lead West Chester (18-7, 15-4 PSAC) to a 68-42 win over Shepherd University (1-23, 1-18  PSAC) in PSAC women's basketball action at  the Butcher Center on Wednesday night. 
Freshman guard 
Peyton Grant (Plymouth, Maine/Dexter Regional) led the Rams with 12 points. She connected on 5-of-10 field goals with a 2-of-2 effort from the foul line. 
Senior forward 
Cara Minor (Hundred, W.Va./North Marion) added nine points and a team-high seven rebounds. Sophomore guard 
Meghan Shipley (Middletown, Md./Middletown) contributed eight points, five boards, and two assists. 
Anna McTamney also tossed in 16 points for the Golden Rams. Leah Johnson added 11 points and a game-high four assists.
 
West Chester had a 37-26 lead at halftime. 
Shepherd shot 34.1 percent (15-44) from the floor with a 21.1 percent (4-19) performance from beyond the arc for the game. The Rams hit on 66.7 percent (8-12) of their free throws. 
West Chester shot 46.4 percent (26-56) from the floor with a 42.1 percent (8-19) effort  from three-point range. The Golden Rams shot 86.4 percent (19-22) from the foul line. 
West Chester had a 36-33 advantage in rebounding. The Rams forced 10 turnovers and committed 25. 
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to East Stroudsburg for a 1 p.m. contest.
