Shepherd Women’s Lacrosse Falls to #12/9 East Stroudsburg

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Campbell Heller and Kiki Fitzpatrick each scored three goals to lead #12/9 East Stroudsburg  (9-3, 6-2 PSAC East) to a 15-5 win over Shepherd University (5-9, 1-8 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's lacrosse action on Senior Day at  Ram Stadium on Saturday. 

Junior midfielder Paige Stoner (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) led the Rams with a pair of goals. 

Junior midfielder Kaiya Edwards (Brogue, Pa./Red Lion), sophomore midfielder Katie Paredes (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora), and junior attacker Sam Lassahn (Baltimore, Md./Concordia Prep) each netted a goal. 

Freshman attacker Rebekah Forney (Walkersville, Md./Mount De Sales) contributed a pair of assists, while junior attacker Shanna Dextradeur (Middletown, Md./Middletown) added another. 

Emily Mitarotonda and Madison Bagatta each added two goals and an assist for the Warriors. 

East Stroudsburg had a 7-4 lead at halftime. 

Senior goalkeeper Hailey Bennett (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) recorded nine saves for the Rams. Riley DiFiore posted six saves for the Warriors. 

East Stroudsburg had a 29-19 advantage in shots with a 24-11 edge in shots on goal. Shepherd was 10-of-12 in clears, while East Stroudsburg was 17-of-20. The Warriors had a 22-19 advantage in ground balls and a 17-7 edge in draw controls. 

The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Shippensburg for a 4 p.m. contest.
