EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Shepherd University (2-1-2, 0-1-2 PSAC East) dropped a 3-2 decision to East Stroudsburg in PSAC East women's soccer action at East Stroudsburg on Saturday night.
Shepherd took a 1-0 lead into the break as graduate student forward/midfielder Sara Hohn (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson)scored on a feed from sophomore forward Lydia Gable (Felton, Pa./Kennard Dale) at the 4:05 mark.
Natalie Schooley scored for ESU at the 55:21 mark to tie the game.
Freshman midfielder Annabelle Wunderlich (Red Lion, Pa./Dallastown Area) added an unassisted tally at the 59:24 mark as the Rams retook the lead.
Carina Gasparini tied the game at the 61:18 mark with an unassisted goal.
Millie Smith scored the game-winner on a feed from Schooley at the 83:49 mark.
Junior goalkeeper Alayna Burgamy (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson/Pitt-Johnstown) recorded nine saves for the Rams. Emmy Clarkson had one save for the Warriors.
East Stroudsburg had a 30-4 edge in shots and a 12-3 advantage in shots on goal. The Warriors had a 10-0 edge in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host Shippensburg for a 3:30 p.m. match.
