Shepherd Women’s Soccer Edged by #7 Kutztown

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. –  Lexy Endres  scored an unassisted goal at the 67:36 mark to lift seventh-ranked Kutztown (6-0-2, 5-0-1 PSAC East) to a 2-1 win over Shepherd University (3-2-2, 1-2-2 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at Shepherd on Saturday. 

Kutztown took a 1-0 lead when Caroline McDonald scored at the 1:54 mark. 

Freshman midfielder Annabelle Wunderlich (Red Lion, Pa./Dallastown Area) scored on a pass from graduate student forward/midfielder Sara Hohn (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson) at the 18:38 mark to tie the game at 1-1. 

Junior goalkeeper Alayna Burgamy (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson/Pitt-Johnstown) recorded  six saves for the Rams. Cassandra Baker had a pair of saves for the Golden Bears 

Kutztown had a 12-6 edge in shots and an 8-3 advantage in shots on goal. Shepherd had a 4-3 edge in corner kicks. 

The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Mansfield for a 4 p.m. contest.
