SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (6-9, 1-1 PSAC East) downed Bloomsburg (3-10, 0-2 PSAC East) in four sets in PSAC East volleyball action at the Butcher Center on Friday night. The Rams recorded a 25-14, 25-15, 20-25, 25-20 victory.
Freshman outside hitter Amya Davis (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) had 16 kills, and freshman outside hitter Jordan Pryor (Middletown, Md./Middletown) added 14 to pace the Rams.
Senior setter Victoria Nicholes (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin) posted a double-double with 40 assists and 12 digs, while Pryor also posted a double-double with a match-high 16 digs. Senior libero Claire Ellis (Louisa, Va./Saint Catherine's School) recorded 13 digs and a team-high four aces.
Pryor, junior middle hitter Renee Killough (Bloomery, W.Va./Hampshire), and freshman middle hitter/right side Sophia Ryan (Monroe, NY/Monroe Woodbury) each had four blocks.
Jenna Dubosky had 13 kills to lead the Huskies. Elise Adelman added 26 assists, seven digs, and six aces.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Lock Haven for a 4 p.m. contest.
