SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (7-9, 2-1 PSAC East) downed Lock Haven (6-5, 1-2 PSAC East) in five sets in PSAC East volleyball action at the Butcher Center on Saturday. The Rams recorded a 25-20, 20-25, 22-25, 25-20, 15-11 triumph.
Freshman outside hitter Jordan Pryor (Middletown, Md./Middletown) led the Rams with 18 kills, and freshman outside hitter Amya Davis (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) added 10.
Senior setter Victoria Nicholes (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin) contributed 39 assists, 19 digs, and a pair of aces. Senior libero Claire Ellis Louisa, Va./Saint Catherine's School) recorded 19 digs and six assists.
Junior middle hitter Renee Killough (Bloomery, W.Va./Hampshire) had 10 blocks and junior middle blocker/right side Joi Fairweather (Tamarac, Fla./Calvary Christian Academy) added nine.
Emma Kelly had 16 kills to lead Lock Haven. Kelly Gaston added 40 assists, 11 digs, and four blocks.
The Rams return to action on Friday when they travel to Kutztown for a 7 p.m. contest.
