SHEPHERSDTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (3-2-4, 1-2-4 PSAC East) battled to a 1-1 tie with Lock Haven (1-6-1, 1-5-1 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at Shepherd on Saturday.
Lock Haven took a 1-0 lead into the break when Emily Shaw scored on a feed from Jocelynn Kuhns at the 26:47 mark.
Shepherd tied the game on a goal by junior midfielder Delaney Bittner (York, Pa./Red Lion Area Senior) on an assist from sophomore forward/midfielder Ahriel Young (Brandywine, Md./Bishop McNamara) at the 50:33 mark.
Junior goalkeeper Alayna Burgamy (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson/Pitt-Johnstown) recorded five saves for the Rams. Megan Miller had seven saves for the Bald Eagles.
Shepherd had a 12-7 edge in shots and an 8-6 advantage in shots on goal. Shepherd had a 5-4 edge in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to West Chester for a 1 p.m. contest.
