Sarah Peternel (Wolfeboro, NH/Virtual Learning Academy Charter School/University of New Hampshire) scored on a penalty kick at the 77:11 mark to lift #18 Shepherd University (5-0-3, 5-0-1 PSAC East) to a 2-1 win over Millersville (4-1-3, 2-1-3 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at Shepherd on Wednesday. Shepherd extends its unbeaten streak to 12 games dating back to 2023.

Lydia Gable (Felton, Pa./Kennard Dale) found the back of the net on a pass from sophomore midfielder
Reagan Ackermann (Myersville, Md./Middletown/UNC Wilmington) at the 5:17 mark. Gable's goal was her eighth of the season.
Millersville tied the game at the 63:24 mark on an unassisted goal by Maia Ianuzzi.
Shepherd had an 11-4 advantage in shots with a 7-2 edge in shots on goal. Millersville had a 5-1 edge in corner kicks.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Hannah Wilt (Saint Leonard, Md./Calvert) recorded one save for the Rams. Sabrina Zimmerman posted five saves for the Marauders.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Lock Haven for a 4 p.m. game.
