LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Sophomore midfielder
Annabelle Wunderlich (Red Lion, Pa./Dallastown Area) scored a pair of goals to lead #18 Shepherd University (6-0-3, 6-0-1 PSAC East) to a 3-0 win over Lock Haven (1-5-3, 1-5-1 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at Lock Haven on Saturday. The shutout was the fourth of the season for the Rams. Shepherd extends its unbeaten streak to 13 games dating back to 2023.
Shepherd took a 1-0 lead into the break on a penalty kick by Wunderlich at the 8:55 mark.
The Rams added a pair of second half tallies.
Sophomore midfielder
Reagan Ackermann (Myersville, Md./Middletown/UNC Wilmington) scored an unassisted goal at the 45:25 mark and Wunderlich scored on an assist from junior forward
Lydia Gable (Felton, Pa./Kennard Dale) at the 66:22 mark.
Shepherd had a 16-7 advantage in shots with a 10-4 edge in shots on goal. The Rams had a 7-1 edge in corner kicks.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Hannah Wilt (Saint Leonard, Md./Calvert) four saves in a shutout effort for the Rams. Megan Miller posted six saves for the Bald Eagles.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host West Chester for a 1 p.m. game.
