SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (17-4, 8-0 PSAC East) swept Shippensburg (12-10, 6-2 PSAC East) in PSAC East volleyball action at the Butcher Center on Friday night. The Rams recorded a 25-20, 25-21, 25-22 win for their ninth consecutive victory.
Sophomore middle hitter
Rylee Lenz (Earleville, Md./Bohemia Manor) recorded 11 kills and six blocks (one solo) to pace the Rams. Sophomore middle hitter/right side
Sophia Ryan (Monroe, N.Y./Monroe Woodbury) added eight kills and four block assists, while senior right side
Joi Fairweather (Tamarac, Fla./Calvary Christian Academy) and sophomore outside hitter
Jordan Pryor (Middletown, Md./Middletown) each had six kills and four block assists. Pryor added 14 digs.
Junior setter
Macy Buso (Parker, Colorado/Chaparral) contributed 32 assists and six digs. Senior defensive specialist/libero
Harli Zeitz (Lake Worth, Fla./Somerset Academy Canyons) also posted 14 digs.
Emily Gardner had 11 kills for the Raiders. Kearstin Davis added 31 assists and 19 digs.
The Rams return to action next Friday when they host East Stroudsburg for a 7 p.m. match.
