SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (3-8-2, 2-6-0 PSAC East) scored on an own goal at the 4:33 mark to secure a 1-0 win over West Chester (8-5-2, 5-3-0 PSAC East) in PSAC East men's soccer action at Shepherd on Saturday..

Freshman goalkeeper Aidan Houck (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) recorded six saves for the Rams. Jaden Howard posted four saves for the Golden Rams.

West Chester had a 19-11 edge in shots with a 6-5 advantage in shots on goal. The Golden Rams had a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.

The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host Felician for a 1 p.m. contest.
