EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Shepherd University (10-4, 2-0 PSAC East) downed East Stroudsburg (10-3, 1-1 PSAC East) in four sets in PSAC East volleyball action on Friday night at East Stroudsburg. The Rams recorded a 21-25, 26-24, 25-23, 27-25 victory.

Sophomore middle hitter/right side Sophia Ryan (Monroe, N.Y./Monroe Woodbury)  had 12 kills and eight blocks (six solos) to pace the Rams. Sophomore middle hitter Rylee Lenz (Earleville, Md./Bohemia Manor) and senior right side Joi Fairweather (Tamarac, Fla./Calvary Christian Academy) each added 11 kills.

Junior setter Macy Buso (Parker, Colorado/Chaparral) contributed 46 assists and nine digs. Senior defensive specialist/libero Harli Zeitz (Lake Worth, Fla./Somerset Academy Canyons) had a match-high 23 digs. Sophomore outside hitter Jordan Pryor (Middletown, Md./Middletown) contributed 16 digs and seven kills.

Ann Coulter had 20 kills and six blocks to pace the Warriors. Kelly Crites added 10 kills and nine digs, while Leonor Chambel recorded 19 digs.

The Rams rallied from a 23-20 deficit in the fourth set to post a 27-25 win to take the match. Davis had five kills and Pryor had four in the deciding set.

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Kutztown for a 4 p.m. contest.
