Shepherd Volleyball Falls to Indiana (Pa.) in NCAA II Atlantic Region Quarterfinals

ERIE, Pa. -- Seventh-seeded Shepherd University dropped a 3-0 decision to second-seeded Indiana (Pa.) in quarterfinal action of the NCAA II Atlantic Regional hosted by Gannon University on Thursday afternoon. The Crimson Hawks posted a 25-16, 25-21, 25-22 win.

Senior right side Joi Fairweather (Tamarac, Fla./Calvary Christian Academy) had six kills and six blocks to pace the Rams. Sophomore middle hitter/right side Sophia Ryan (Monroe, NY./Monroe Woodbury) added six kills and five blocks.

Junior setter Macy Buso (Parker, Colorado/Chaparral) contributed 18 assists and 11 digs. Senior defensive specialist/libero Harli Zeitz (Lake Worth, Fla./Somerset Academy Canyons) recorded a match-high 13 digs and senior outside hitter Sydney Babb (Germantown, Md./Northwest/Montgomery College) added 10. Senior libero/defensive specialist Kierra Anderson (Martinsburg, W.Va./Martinsburg) contributed six digs.

Delaney Concannon had 10 kills to lead Indiana (Pa.)(24-8). Nyla Birch added eight kills, while Bailey Flowerdew recorded 12 digs.

IUP advances to take on Wheeling in the semifinals on Friday.

Notes: Shepherd finishes the season with a 24-6 overall mark … Shepherd's .800 winning percentage is one of the best in program history …  the Rams posted a perfect 14-0 record in PSAC East play ... Shepherd added an unblemished mark at the Butcher Center this season with a 13-0 mark ... this season's 16-match win streak was two shy of the Shepherd record 18-match streak set in 2019 ... the Rams made their fourth (2018, 2019, 2021, 2024) NCAA II regional appearance.
