WHEELING, W.Va. – The Shepherd University men's golf team shot a two-round total of 640 to finish 18th in a 26-team field at the NCAA II Atlantic East Region Men's Golf Preview at the Oglebay Resort Jones Course. Charleston took the team title with a 598. Ben Fernandez of Glenville State shot a 137 to gain medalist honors.
 
Sophomore Joey Leisinger (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown) shot a 156 to tie for 37th place to pace the Rams. He was followed by sophomore Morgan Dehoff (Rohrersville, Md./Boonsboro) (157, T-43rd), sophomore Trey Rios (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) (161, T-66th), sophomore Nop Satjavitvisarn (Yannawa Bangkok, Thailand/International Community School) (166, T-92nd), and graduate student Chris Neighbors (Charles. Town, W.Va./Washington) (169, T-109th).
