SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Hannah Stanislawczyk scored 10 goals to lead #2 West Chester (15-0, 10-0 PSAC East) to a 20-11 win over Shepherd University (5-10, 3-8 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's lacrosse action at Ram Stadium on Saturday.
Senior attacker
Shanna Dextradeur (Middletown, Md./Middletown) had four goals and one assist to lead the Rams. Junior attacker
Kelsey King (Fallston, Md./Concordia Prep) added three goals and an assist, while freshman midfielder
Aubrey Harrison (Fairmont, W.Va./Fairmont Senior) added two goals and an assist.
Senior midfielder
Paige Stoner (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) netted a pair of goals, while senior attacker
Sam Lassahn (Baltimore, Md./Concordia Prep) contributed a pair of assists. Junior midfielder
Katie Paredes (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) added an assist.
Amanda Wolfe and Sydney Wasdick each netted three goals for the Golden Rams. The win gave West Chester head coach Ginny Martino her 400th career victory.
West Chester had a 13-8 lead at halftime.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Destiny Rockwell (Glengary, W.Va./Musselman) recorded six saves for the Rams. Jessica Gorr (54:10, 10 GA, 9 saves) and Peyton Hagy (5:50, 1 GA, 1 save) combined for 10 saves for the Golden Rams.
West Chester had a 30-29 advantage in shots with a 26-21 edge in shots on goal. Shepherd was 12-of-15 in clears, while West Chester was 23-of-26. Ground balls were even at 24-all. Shepherd forced 20 turnovers and committed 20. The Golden Rams held an 18-17 edge in draw controls.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Millersville for a 4 p.m. contest.
