MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Shepherd University (18-24, 11-17 PSAC East) dropped a doubleheader to #14/12 Millersville (37-9, 22-5 PSAC East) in PSAC East baseball action at Millersville on Sunday. The Marauders gained a 4-2 win in game one and added a 9-3 victory in the nightcap.
Millersville took a 1-0 lead in the first inning in game one on a solo homer by Cole Houser.
The Marauders added a run in the second on a sacrifice bunt by Amani Jones.
Shepherd cut the lead to 2-1 in the third when redshirt-junior second baseman
Wyatt Miles (Waterford, Va./Woodgrove/Frederick CC) belted a solo blast.
The Rams tied the game in the fourth when junior shortstop
Greg Borges (Odenton, Md./Avalon Day School/Allegany College of Maryland) reached on a walk and later scored when junior first baseman
Aidan Greaney (New Windsor, Md./South Carroll/Frederick CC) reached on an error.
The Marauders got a two-run blast from Houser in the fifth and held on for the 4-2 win.

Shepherd took a 2-0 lead in the first in the nightcap behind an RBI-double by junior outfielder
Mike Guzzardo (Mullica Hill, N.J./Bishop Eustace Prep/RCSJ Cumberland) and a run-scoring single by Borges.
Millersville cut the lead to 2-1 in the third on an RBI-single by Mark McNelly.
Shepherd upped its lead to 3-1 in the fourth on a solo home run by Greaney.
The Marauders rallied with six runs in the fifth to take a 7-3 lead with a grand slam by Matthew Williams keying the rally.
Millersville added single runs in the sixth and seventh.
Borges went 2-for-3 to pace the Rams.
Williams and McNelly had a pair of hits for the Marauders.
