Shepherd Women’s Lacrosse Falls at #2 West Chester

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Meg O'Donnell scored four goals and Hannah Stanislawczyk added three goals and three assists to lead #2 West Chester (10-0, 5-0 PSAC East) to a 20-5 win over Shepherd University (4-6, 2-4 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's lacrosse action at West Chester on Saturday.

Senior midfielder Paige Stoner (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) scored two goals to lead the Rams. Stoner also tied West Chester's Eliza Enriquez with a game-high five draw controls. Junior midfielder Katie Paredes (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) and senior attacker Shanna Dextradeur (Middletown, Md./Middletown) each added a goal and an assist.

Junior attacker Kelsey King (Fallston, Md./Concordia Prep) tallied a goal, while sophomore attacker Rebekah Forney (Walkersville, Md./Mount De Sales) contributed an assist.          

Julia Littlewood added a pair of goals and five assists for the Golden Rams.         

West Chester had a 12-2 lead at halftime

Sophomore goalkeeper Destiny Rockwell (Glengary, W.Va./Musselman) recorded a career-high 14 saves for the Rams. Jessica Gorr posted four saves for the Golden Rams.

West Chester had a 41-12 advantage in shots with a 34-9 edge in shots on goal. Shepherd was 11-of-14 in clears, while West Chester was 10-of-11. West Chester had an 18-10 advantage in ground balls. Shepherd forced seven turnovers and committed 19. The Golden Rams held a 16-10 edge in draw controls.

The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to #15 Kutztown for a 3 p.m. contest.
