LEBANON, Pa. – The Shepherd University men's golf team shot a 322 and is in fifth place in an eight-team field after the first round at the Millersville Spring Invitational at the Iron Valley Golf Club on Sunday. Goldey-Beacom holds the first-round lead with a 299.

Graduate student Chris Neighbors (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) fired a 79 and is tied for 12th place to lead the Rams. He was followed by sophomores Joey Leisinger (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown) and Trey Rios(Denver, Pa./Cocalico), who both shot an 80 and tied for 16th place. They were followed by sophomores Nop Satjavitvisarn (Yannawa Bangkok, Thailand/International Community School) and Morgan Dehoff  (Rohrersville, Md./Boonsboro), who both shot an 83 and tied for 23rd place.

The Rams return to action on Monday for final round action of the Millersville Spring Invitational.
