BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Freshman midfielder Anaya Lozano (Chesapeake, Va./Atlantic Shores Christian School) scored on a feed from sophomore midfielder Annabelle Wunderlich (Red Lion, Pa./Dallastown Area) at the 72:18 mark to lift Shepherd University (1-0-2, 1-0-0 PSAC East) to a 1-0 win over Bloomsburg (2-2-0, 0-2-0 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at Bloomsburg on Saturday. The win over Bloomsburg is a program first.
 
Shepherd held an 11-5 advantage in shots with a 6-3 edge in shots on goal. Bloomsburg had a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks.
 
Sophomore goalkeeper Hannah Wilt (Saint Leonard, Md./Calvert) recorded three saves in a shutout effort for the Rams. Samantha Merklin posted five saves for the Huskies.
 
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Shippensburg for a 3 p.m. match.
