Shepherd Women Fall to Millersville

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. –  Bryn Zenter had 13 points, 12 rebounds, and four assists to lead Millersville (10-5, 5-4 PSAC) to a 62-53 win over Shepherd (4-12, 1-9 PSAC) in PSAC women's basketball action at the Butcher Center on Saturday.
 
Freshman forward Lamaria Estridge (Walkersville, Md./St. Andrew's Episcopal) led the Rams with 14 points. She connected on 6-of-12 shots. She was 2-of-7 from the foul line. Estridge added five rebounds and a pair of steals.
 
Sophomore guard Cassidy Rhodes (Point of Rocks, Md./Brunswick) added 11 points for the Rams and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds. Sophomore guard Samiyah Nasir (Gwynn Oak, Md./Howard/College of Saint Rose) added five points, four rebounds, and two steals.
 
Sophomore forward Jenna Liska (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty/Frostburg State) had seven points and four boards. Sophomore forward Carmaya Bowman (Hampstead, Md./Manchester Valley) contributed eight points and eight boards.
 
Morgan Mahoney added 13 points for the Marauders. Malian Shaw had 11 points, while Kali March had 10.
 
Shepherd had a 35.1 percent (20-57) field goal percentage with a 25.0 percent (3-12) effort from beyond the arc. The Rams hit 67.9 percent (19-28) from the foul line.
 
Millersville connected on 31.8 percent (21-66) of its field goals with 18.2 percent effort (4-22) from three-point range. The Marauders hit 41.2 percent (7-17) of their free throws.
 
Rebounds were even at 47 each. Each team had 18 turnovers. 
 
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host Lock Haven for a 5:30 p.m. contest.
