Shepherd Volleyball Downs Kutztown in Four Sets

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va.  Shepherd University (13-4, 3-1 PSAC East) posted a four-set win over Kutztown  (8-8, 1-2 PSAC East) in PSAC East volleyball action at the Butcher Center on Friday evening. The Rams posted a 22-25, 25-15, 25-15, 25-22 win.
 
Freshman outside hitter Ada McCoy (Bunker Hill, W.Va./Musselman) posted a match-high 23 kills to pace the Rams. She added 10 digs. Junior outside hitter Amya Davis (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) added 10 kills and six digs, while junior middle hitter/right side Sophia Ryan (Monroe, N.Y./Monroe Woodbury), junior middle hitter Rylee Lenz (Earleville, Md./Bohemia Manor), and freshman right side hitter Emily Ryder (Smithsburg, Md./Smithsburg) each contributed nine kills.
 
Senior setter Macy Buso (Parker, Colorado/Chaparral) posted a match-high 45 assists and 10 digs. Senior libero/defensive specialist Madigan Faircloth (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman/Liberty) recorded a team-high 19 digs.
 
Paige Skinner had 16 kills and 11 digs for the Golden Bears. Saige Thibodeaux added a match-high 20 digs.
 
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host East Stroudsburg for a 4 p.m. match for the Pink Out Game.
