SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Four different players scored goals as Shepherd University (4-1-5, 3-1-5 PSAC East) recorded a 4-0 win over East Stroudsburg (5-3-3, 2-3-3 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at Shepherd on Saturday.
The Rams took a 1-0 lead when sophomore forward
Merritt Delk (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park/Toledo) scored on a feed from senior defender
Erika Moore (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore) at the 21:02 mark.
Junior midfielder
Annabelle Wunderlich (Red Lion, Pa./Dallastown Area) scored an unassisted goal at the 27:01 mark.
Senior midfielder
Josie Beezel (Woodsboro, Md./Linganore) added an unassisted tally minutes later to give the Rams a 3-0 advantage at halftime.
Senior forward
Lydia Gable (Felton, Pa./Kennard Dale) scored on a pass from junior midfielder
Reagan Ackermann (Myersville, Md./Middletown/UNC Wilmington) at the 67:41 to cap the scoring.
Redshirt sophomore goalkeeper
Hannah Wilt (Saint Leonard, Md./Calvert) had one save for the Rams. Emmy Clarkson had a save for the Warriors.
Shepherd had a 13-3 advantage in shots with a 5-1 edge in shots on goal. Corner kicks were even at 1-1.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Shippensburg for a 6 p.m. contest.
