SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -- Shepherd University scored four second-half goals en route to a 4-0 win over Shippensburg in PSAC East women's soccer action at Shippensburg on Wednesday evening.
Sophomore forward
Merritt Delk (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park/Toledo) opened the scoring on a pass from junior midfielder
Reagan Ackermann (Myersville, Md./Middletown/UNC Wilmington) at the 76:26 mark.
Senior forward
Lydia Gable (Felton, Pa./Kennard Dale) scored on a feed from graduate student midfielder
Sarah Peternel (Wolfeboro, NH/Virtual Learning Academy Charter School/University of New Hampshire) minutes later to give the Rams a 2-0 advantage.
Ackermann scored on a pass from Peternel at the 83:25 mark to up the lead to 3-0.
Sophomore midfielder
Anaya Lozano (Chesapeake, Va./Atlantic Shores Christian School) scored on a pass from senior midfielder
Josie Beezel (Woodsboro, Md./Linganore) at 88:49 mark to complete the scoring.
Redshirt sophomore goalkeeper
Hannah Wilt (Saint Leonard, Md./Calvert) did not record a save in a shutout effort for the Rams. Kirstin Brown recorded nine saves for the Raiders.
Shepherd had a 28-1 shots advantage with a 13-0 edge in shots on goal. The Rams had a 3-2 margin in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Lock Haven for a 7 p.m. match
