Klayton Batten (Waldorf, Md./St. Charles) and senior defensive lineman
Nathan Muhle (Harpers Ferry, W.Va./Jefferson) of the Shepherd University football team have earned PSAC weekly honors as announced by the league office on Monday. Batten was named PSAC Special Teams Athlete of the Week, while Muhle was selected as PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week.
Batten had a 74-yard punt return for a score in Shepherd's 28-24 win over West Chester. Defensively, he added three tackles (one solo) with a pair of pass breakups and had a 79-yard interception return in the game's final moments to seal the win for the Rams.
Muhle was a defensive force in Shepherd's 28-24 win over West Chester, recording a team-best eight tackles (six solo) in Shepherd's win over West Chester. He added four tackles-for-loss (-11 yards) and a pair of sacks (-7 yards).
