Josie Beezel (Woodsboro, Md./Linganore) scored a goal and assisted on another to lead Shepherd University (6-1-5, 5-1-5 PSAC East) to a 4-0 win over Lock Haven (3-7-2, 1-7-2 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at Lock Haven on Saturday evening.
Junior midfielder
Annabelle Wunderlich (Red Lion, Pa./Dallastown Area) scored on assists from Beezel and senior midfielder
Adrianna Morales (Holmdel, N.J./Holmdel) at the 3:49 mark to give the Rams a 1-0 advantage at the break.
Sophomore forward
Merritt Delk (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park/Toledo) opened the second half scoring with an unassisted goal at the 54:39 mark.
Beezel found the back of the net on a feed from junior midfielder
Reagan Ackermann (Myersville, Md./Middletown/UNC Wilmington) at the 60:02 mark to give the Rams a 3-0 lead.
Graduate student midfielder
Sarah Peternel (Wolfeboro, NH/Virtual Learning Academy Charter School/University of New Hampshire) added an unassisted tally at the 85:44 mark to cap the scoring.
Redshirt sophomore goalkeeper
Hannah Wilt (Saint Leonard, Md./Calvert) recorded three saves in a shutout effort for the Rams. Megan Miller recorded three saves for the Bald Eagles.
Shepherd had an 11-7 advantage in shots with a 7-3 edge in shots on goal. The Bald Eagles had a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Oct. 29 when they host West Chester for a 1 p.m. contest.
