GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Shepherd University cross country teams competed at the Aubrey Shenk Invitational hosted by Gettysburg College on Saturday. The men finished 26th in a 34-team field while the women placed 26th in a 33-team field.
The men were led by freshman
Logan Feeg (Robesonia, Pa./Conrad Weiser) who finished 87th with a time of 27:16.0. He was followed by senior
Parker Mackey (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman) (100th, 27:32.6), sophomore
Jackson Fiolek (Harpers Ferry, W.Va./Washington) (224th,30:04.1), freshman
Mason Ratke (Ridgeley, Md./Frankfort) (231th, 30:15.2), junior
Connor Ireland (Charles Town, W.Va./Jefferson) (263th, 31:39.0), and senior
Nick Yankle (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) (284th, 33:18.3).
Feeg and Mackey broke the school record with their times as Feeg established a new mark. Additionally, Ratke and Fiolek set personal records.
The women were led by junior
Riley Staub (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman) who finished 124th with a time of 25:19.3. She was followed by sophomore
Zoe Boyd (Salisbury, Md./James M. Bennett) (145th, 25:43.0), freshman
Aubrey Fernandez (Warrenton, Va./Fauquier/Emory and Henry) (188th,26:45.2), freshman
Jaclyn Unger (Winchester, Va./Millbrook) (262nd, 31:17.5), freshman Gabrielle Thompson Servant (Berlin, Md./Stephen Decatur) (269th, 32:38.6), and junior
Ashley Anderson (Charles Town, W.Va./Woodgrove (Va.)) (278th, 33:29.5).
Boyd, Unger, and Thompson Servant all established personal records.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to the PSAC Championship hosted by Edinboro University.
