Shepherd Volleyball Downs West Chester in Four Sets

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Shepherd University (15-5, 5-2 PSAC East) downed West Chester (14-6, 4-4 PSAC East) in four sets in PSAC East volleyball action at West Chester on Saturday afternoon. The Rams posted a 25-21, 25-22, 17-25, 26-24 win. 

Junior outside hitter Amya Davis (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) led the Rams with a match-high 15 kills and three aces.  Freshman outside hitter Ada McCoy (Bunker Hill, W.Va./Musselman) and freshman right side hitter Emily Ryder (Smithsburg, Md./Smithsburg)  each added 11 kills. 

Senior setter Macy Buso (Parker, Colorado/Chaparral) posted a match-high 40 assists, three aces, and three blocks. Freshman libero Paige Hansen (Savage, Minn./Academy of Holy Angels) contributed seven kills. 

Zoe Haines had 13 kills to lead West Chester. Elianna Freeman had a match-high 11 digs. 

The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Fairmont State for a 7 p.m. match.
