LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- Graduate student defensive back Klayton Batten (Waldorf, Md./St. Charles) of the Shepherd University football team has been named PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday.

Batten recorded five tackles (four solo) with a tackle-for-loss (-5 yards) in Shepherd's 37-13 win over Bloomsburg. He added an interception, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery that he returned 20 yards for a touchdown.
