Merritt Delk (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park/Toledo) each scored a goal and assisted on another to lead Shepherd University (7-1-6, 6-1-6 PSAC East) to a 5-1 win over #21 Bloomsburg (9-5-2, 6-5-2 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action on Senior Day at Shepherd on Saturday.
Beezel scored on a pass from Delk at the 7:56 mark to give the Rams a 1-0 advantage.
Junior midfielder
Annabelle Wunderlich(Red Lion, Pa./Dallastown Area) scored on an assist from Beezel at the 11:01 mark to give the Rams a 2-0 lead.
The Rams took a 4-0 advantage into the break as junior midfielder
Reagan Ackermann (Myersville, Md./Middletown/UNC Wilmington) scored an unassisted goal at the 15:26 mark and junior midfielder
Taylor Schuck (Springfield, Va./West Springfield) found the back of the net on a pass from senior forward
Lydia Gable (Felton, Pa./Kennard Dale) at the 37:26 mark.
Daryn Savage scored an unassisted goal at the 62:13 mark to get the Huskies on the scoreboard.
Delk completed the scoring with a goal on a feed from sophomore midfielder
Olivia Gardner (Baltimore, Md./Sparrows Point) at the 81:19 mark.
Redshirt sophomore goalkeeper
Hannah Wilt (Saint Leonard, Md./Calvert) recorded a save for the Rams. Samantha Merklin (72:13, 4 GA, 1 save) and Izzy Hoffeditz (17:47, 1 GA, 1 save) recorded a pair of saves for the Huskies.
Shepherd had an 11-2 advantage in shots with a 7-2 edge in shots on goal. The Rams had a 2-1 advantage in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Millersville for a 6 p.m. match.
