EDINBORO, Pa. – Three members of the Shepherd University football team have been named to the 2025 D2CCA All-Super Region One Team as selected by the region's sports information directors. Graduate student return specialist/defensive back Klayton Batten (Waldorf, Md./St. Charles), junior punter Daishaun Alexander (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Salem/Saint Vincent), and redshirt senior offensive lineman Brandon Carr (Reisterstown, Md./Franklin) were honored.

Batten, a first team choice at defensive back and second team selection as a return specialist, appeared in 11 games with nine starts. He recorded 42 tackles (30 solos) with 1.5 tackles-for-loss (-5 yards). He added five interceptions for 99 yards, four pass breakups, four forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. His 0.45 interceptions per game tie for the lead in the PSAC and rank him seventh nationally. He had 17 punt returns for an 11.35 average. He had a 74-yard punt return for a score against West Chester. Batten currently ranks 13th nationally in punt returns.

Alexander, a first team choice,  appeared and started in all 11 games. He punted 44 times for a 44.57 average. He had 16 punts placed inside the 20-yard line and booted 13 punts of 50 yards or more. His 44.57 average leads the PSAC and ranks him third nationally.

Carr appeared and started in all 11 games. He anchored an offensive line that paved the way for Jordan Barnett to rush for 1,209 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also helped Shepherd average 168.73 rushing yards and 30.5 points per game.
