SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Nasir Griffin drained a three-pointer in the game's final seconds to lift East Stroudsburg (16-5, 10-4 PSAC) to a 71-70 win over Shepherd University (14-7, 10-4 PSAC) in PSAC men's basketball action at the Butcher Center on Saturday.
Graduate student forward
Chase Paar (Mount Airy, Md./Glenelg Country School/Towson) and
sophomore guard
Marcus Banks (Clinton, Md./Riverdale Baptist) each scored a game-high 19 points to pace the Rams.
Paar connected on 8-of-10 field goals with a 3-of-4 effort from the line. He added three boards and a steal. Banks was 5-of-10 from the floor with a 9-of-11 effort from the foul line. He added six rebounds, five assists, and a pair of steals.

Jarod Robinson (Laurel, Md./Glenelg Country School), freshman guard
Brody Davis (Morgantown, W.Va./Morgantown), and freshman guard
Elwyne Wordlaw (Frederick, Md./Frederick) each tossed in eight points, while sophomore forward
Cole Paar (Mount Airy, Md./Glenelg Country School/Towson) grabbed six boards.

points to lead the Warriors
. Griffin and Lakeem McAliley each added 13 points.
Shepherd had a
36-29 lead at the half.
The Rams led by as many as 13 points in the second half. The Warriors outscored the Rams, 18-9, in
the final five minutes of the game to eke out the win.
Shepherd connected on 49 percent (24-49) of its field goals with a 26.7 percent (4-15) performance from three-point range for the game. The Rams drained 78.3 percent (18-23) of their free throws.
East Stroudsburg shot 44.9 percent (22-49) from the floor with a 48 percent (12-25) effort from beyond the arc. The Warriors hit 78.9 percent (15-19) from the foul line.
Shepherd had a 31-27 edge in rebounding. The Rams forced 16 turnovers and committed 16.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to West Chester for a 7:30 p.m. game.
