LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Rhlyn Rouse scored a game-high 24 points to lead Lock Haven (17-7, 12-6 PSAC) to a 71-60 win over Shepherd (5-19, 2-16 PSAC) in PSAC women's basketball action at Lock Haven on Saturday.
Sophomore forward
Carmaya Bowman (Hampstead, Md./Manchester Valley) led the Rams with 15 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks. Bowman connected on 7-of-10 field goals with a 1-of-1 effort from the foul line.
Sophomore guard
Cassidy Rhodes (Point of Rocks, Md./Brunswick) contributed 12 points and two steals for the Rams. Freshman guard
Trinity Turner (Germantown, Md./Clarksburg) added nine points and a team-high four steals. Freshman forward
Lamaria Estridge (Walkersville, Md./St. Andrew's Episcopal) posted six points and tied Bowman with a team-high seven boards.
Alana Robinson added 18 points, eight boards, and six steals for the Bald Eagles. Kiera Baughman added 16 points and six assists.
Shepherd had a 42.9 percent (24-56) field goal percentage with a 31.3 percent (5-16) effort from beyond the arc for the game. The Rams hit 63.6 percent (7-11) from the foul line.
Lock Haven connected on 52.5 percent (31-59) of its field goals with 23.1 percent effort (3-13) from three-point range. The Bald Eagles hit 75 percent (6-8) of their free throws.
Lock Haven had a 31-23 rebounding advantage. Each team had 20 turnovers.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host Mansfield for a 5:30 p.m. contest.
